About the event
From December to June, Nature in the northern hemisphere is inhaling, drawing energy up from within the planet and expanding out to the surface. At the Spring Equinox, we are halfway through the inhale, before the exhale begins at the Summer solstice and the energy moves back down into the planet.
To align with Nature's inhalation, we will connect our roots into the planet and draw the energy up. Â In the first class in the series, we open the channels in our legs to draw energy up into our Hara, the energy center in the lower belly. In the second class, we will draw the energy from the Hara up to our Heart, and then in the third class we will move it from the Heart to our Head. The final class will circulate the energy through our electromagnetic field and fully integrate our energetic alignment with the planet. We will also be working with the Elements: Earth in legs/bones, Water in belly/blood, Fire in Heart/nervous system and Air in head/breath, to more deeply align ourselves with the planet.

Lindsey's Bio:
Lindsey Swope took her first yoga class in 1986 at the age of 21 and was immediately hooked. Â She started teaching in 1997 when she moved to the Methow Valley, where she lived and taught for over 20 years. Â During that time, she completed four yoga teacher trainings in various different styles, including Iyengar and Kundalini. Â Lindsey has a strong connection to the world of Nature, holding degrees in Geology and Geography, and she has been walking a path of Earth-based spirituality for over 25 years. Â Weaving these influences into her yoga helps her students find an experience of alignment and connection both within themselves and with the world around them.
Lindsey believes in the healing power of laughter and loves to combine structure and play in her classes, creating a safe place for inquiry and experimentation. Yoga has been an invaluable tool in her journey through life and she deeply appreciates the opportunity to share the wisdom gained over more than thirty years of practice.
