About the event

Just before the Fall Equinox, let Ruby's Planetary Moon, Earth, Grotto Sonora Gongs and bowls bring you to balance and open you to fresh intentions. More and more studies are showing the benefits of sound therapy and so Ruby is thrilled to get to work with the City of Bellingham Parks and Rec Dept. to offer her sound healing sessions quarterly at in a more accessible location (no stairs) and at a more assessible price (only $10)!

After a short centering, enjoy a 50-minute sound bath with her crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, ocean drum, and more to help bring you to balance and open you to fresh new intentions.

Ruby will intuitively play certain instruments at key moments of the sound bath to create particular effects. For example, the bowls are often played at the beginning and end to create, while the gongs are usually played in the middle. This has an effect of taking you on a journey that can bring relaxation, emotional release, and clarity. Instruments like the ocean drum and chimes are often played just before closing to clear whatever residue was dislodged during the sound bath.

During the gong segment, multiple mallets will be used to bring out the full spectrum of beneficial vibrations and frequencies. Just as a body massage works out tight and knotted muscles, the "sonic massage" of a Gong meditation works out emotional issues that we need to release in order to move forward in life. The listener only has to let go and let the sound of the Gongs do the work.

No prior experience with yoga, meditation, or sound energy is needed, the movement and sound will simply meet you where you are and take you wherever you need to go.
