About the event

Right amid the busy holiday season, let Ruby's Planetary Moon, Earth, Grotto Sonora Gongs and bowls bring you to balance and open you to fresh new intentions. After a short centering, enjoy a 50-minute sound bath with her crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, ocean drum, and more, & for only $10!

Though Cordata Pavilion doesn't hold as many people as our usual location, the Bloedel Donovan Gym, the space has much better acoustics and the sound healing instruments really resonate beautifully!

After a short centering, enjoy a 50-minute sound bath with her crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, ocean drum, and more to help bring you to balance and open you to fresh new intentions.

Ruby will intuitively play certain instruments at key moments of the sound bath to create particular effects. For example, the bowls are often played at the beginning and end to create, while the gongs are usually played in the middle. This has an effect of taking you on a journey that can bring relaxation, emotional release, and clarity. Instruments like the ocean drum and chimes are often played just before closing to clear whatever residue was dislodged during the sound bath.

During the gong segment, multiple mallets will be used to bring out the full spectrum of beneficial vibrations and frequencies. Just as a body massage works out tight and knotted muscles, the "sonic massage" of a Gong bath works out emotional issues that we need to release in order to move forward in life. The listener only has to let go and let the sound of the Gongs do the work.

No prior experience with yoga, meditation, or sound energy is needed, the movement and sound will simply meet you where you are and take you wherever you need to go.

(If you have trouble registering online, you can register by phone instead: 360.778.7000)

What to bring: A sound bath is usually experienced lying down on your back or a similar comfortable position, so you'll want to bring some cozy padding, especially since the Cordata Pavilion has a cold, hard floor. (yoga/Pilates/thick blanket/camping mat), to lay on,  or even a camping or anti gravity chair, a pillow, blanket(s) and eye covering.

Cancellation Policy: Because this event is being hosted by Bellingham Parks and Rec, their policies apply, which usually include pre-registration and no refunds. However, if you can't make it, please contact me and I am happy to give you a credit toward one of my classes or events.

Work Exchange: Ruby can usually use 1 or 2 helpers for setup, so if you're interested, text her at 360-447-8778.
