About the event

Just after Valentine’s Day and the Leo full moon, this is a powerful time to connect with the energy of your heart. This event begins with a few gentle 4th chakra exercises to activate and balance the heart center. Then, as the soothing sound healing instruments begin, you'll be guided through a heart-focused relaxation and visualization practice (Yoga Nidra) to prepare your mind and body to more fully relax into just the sounds of the sound healing instruments for a deeply soothing sound journey.

Ruby and Jay have worked with sound together many times and look forward to their first event with just the two of them to hold space for both divine feminine and divine masculine energies. Jay works magic with instruments like drums, his handpan, chimes, and more. His partner, Susan Powell will also be present to offer a land acknowledgement. Ruby has multiple singing bowls tuned to the heart chakra, and her 22 inch F quartz crystal bowl is particularly powerful. Through the harmonious vibrations of these as well as gongs, chimes, and other sacred instruments, you’ll embark on a meditative journey to release emotional blockages, nurture self-love, and cultivate inner peace. The nurturing soundscape will guide you to reconnect with the wisdom of your heart, promoting relaxation, clarity, and alignment with your deepest intentions.

There will also likely be one or two intuitive energy work practitioner there to support the energy of the group during the sound bath with Reiki and other energetic techniques to enhance the healing potential.

More on Yoga Nidra: Yoga Nidra is a guided yogic sleep that allows for relaxation and enhanced healing, opens us to our inner guidance, and helps to integrate change by accessing the subconscious. Yoga nidra is a tool for initiating deep change In the root causes of physical, emotional and psychological imbalances as a result of stress. Yoga Nidra brings about a supported lucid dream state by the enhancement of the alpha wave state in the brain, a super-conscious frequency in the mind that releases tension, gives rise to enhanced vision and heightened awareness which then allows us to be more present in our lives.

Recently, this practice has been put under the umbrella of the term coined by Andrew Huberman, NSDR or Non-Sleep Deep Rest.
