About the event
Just after the third quarter moon and before Thanksgiving, set aside some time for release, introspection, and self-reflection. Treat yourself to some soul nourishment with this deeply restorative combo of Yoga Nidra and sound healing. It will be the perfect antidote to your busy lifestyle and provide you with a reset for your whole being!
You'll get to tune into your Sankalpa (a “resolve” or as Rod Stryker says, a “heart-felt desire”) and then plant this seed of your intention in the powerful practice of Yoga Nidra, which means yogic sleep. It's also known as NSDR, Non Sleep Deep Rest and is basically a form of guided meditation you practice lying down. Though you can of course connect to your own personal intention, we'll also be focusing on gratitude and appreciation during this session. Once you’ve planted this precious seed of your intention, you’ll be able to continue to tune into it to guide your actions with presence and awareness as you go into the busy holiday season.
Ruby will guide you through the practice of yoga nidra with the sounds of various sound healing instruments before a period of time with just the sounds. She'll be playing instruments like Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, her Planetary Moon Gong and other instruments such as a rain stick, ocean drum and chimes. Brooke will also be playing her wind and Chiron gongs as well. Time will be given at the end to either continue resting, or to spend some time writing down anything that came to you during your deep nidra and sound journey.
There will also likely be one or two intuitive energy work practitioner there to support the energy of the group during the sound bath with Reiki and other energetic techniques to enhance the healing potential.

More on Yoga Nidra: Yoga Nidra is a guided yogic sleep that allows for relaxation and enhanced healing, opens us to our inner guidance, and helps to integrate change by accessing the subconscious. Yoga nidra is a tool for initiating deep change In the root causes of physical, emotional and psychological imbalances as a result of stress. Yoga Nidra brings about a supported lucid dream state by the enhancement of the alpha wave state in the brain, a super-conscious frequency in the mind that releases tension, gives rise to enhanced vision and heightened awareness which then allows us to be more present in our lives.
Recently, this practice has been put under the umbrella of the term coined by Andrew Huberman, NSDR or Non-Sleep Deep Rest.
